For years I served on numerous boards and was a part of many civic, community and non-profit organizations. Giving back was always an important part of my life and I worked diligently to see each organization succeed. I continue to be involved in several civic and non-profit organizations and I was so excited to have the interest and commitment that I have been a part of for my entire career become such an important part of the business culture today.
We are delighted to work with your company on your volunteer and giving efforts. And then we will continue to work with you every step of the way to ensure the plan’s success and of equal importance, we will work with you to maintain and ensure the plan is sustainable now and in the future.
We follow these steps in developing the plan for you and your company:
We start out meeting with Senior Staff to identify the company’s goals.
Then we meet with selected employees from every department to pinpoint their interests. We can select an individual or a few individuals from each department to be the Community Involvement Ambassadors for your company. This process aids in engagement, employee involvement and the communication process. It is so important to be sure our efforts are well known throughout the company and to welcome any suggestions, requests, or recommendations from staff.
We provide the company’s select representatives with the community involvement plan that includes recommended organizations, timelines, calendars, and events. We will continue to work on maintaining sustainable plans and future growth.
The recommended organization selection comes with a detailed description of the organization, the mission of the organization, current status and future goals, and how your company and staff can work with them to assist in achieving the respective organizations’ goals.
The company then selects an organization or organizations.
We meet with the organization or organizations to identify their immediate need. How can your company develop a partnership with this organization, not just write a check. This benefits the organization, and is instrumental in strengthening your company, the staff within your company and any future employees that you will bring on board. Not only is community involvement a blessing to the community, but it assists with your hiring processes and procedures, with employee retention and loyalty, and with your presence and position in the community and industry.
At the same time, we work on details and then present those details to the Community Involvement Ambassadors as well as Senior Management including HR and Marketing executives.
As the process develops, your company may want to add an annual event for awareness or fundraising purposes. This increases the company’s efforts for the organization or organizations selected, increases the PR efforts for the company, and increases the competitive advantages for the company and for the organization benefiting from the company’s community involvement efforts.
